Since 1997 Schering AG Berlin / Germany holds 25 % of medac’s capital shares. medac mainly promotes the development and marketing of therapeutics in the field of oncology and autoimmune diseases. Through its diagnostic department medac offers a broad range of diagnostic kits and reagents. medac GmbH’s main office is located in Wedel, west of Hamburg / Germany, whereas affiliates are located in Glasgow / UK, Varberg / Sweden, Vienna / Austria, Prague / Czech Republic and Meux / Belgium. More than 350 employees take responsibility for research, development, logistics, marketing, and sales. Through its network of partnerships within and outside of Europe, medac products (therapeutics and diagnostics) are available in more than 50 countries throughout the world.
